About This Course
This interactive workshop introduces educators to the foundational concepts of artificial intelligence and its practical applications in the classroom. Participants will gain hands-on experience using Microsoft Copilot and Magic School to enhance instruction, save time, and support student learning. Through a mix of mini-lessons, tool exploration, ethical discussions, and collaborative redesign activities, participants will: ● Build a foundational understanding of how generative AI works ● Learn how to craft effective prompts using the 3P’s framework (Persona, Problem, Parameters) ● Explore Magic School’s tools for both teachers and students ● Reflect on key ethical issues, including academic integrity, privacy, equity, and environmental impact ● Complete a case study to redesign a lesson using AI tools to better support diverse learners By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with a deeper understanding of AI, ideas for using it responsibly in the classroom, and practical tools to apply immediately.
