AI in Education | Designing Kumu and Haumāna Chatbots

  • 6 Steps
  • 25 Participants

About This Course

This full-day, hands-on session is designed for the AI Task Force to explore how custom chatbots can support teachers and students. Using Magic School, participants will learn how to design both teacher-facing and student-facing chatbots that address real classroom and school needs. Through guided discussion, collaborative design, and creative build time, participants will revisit the 3P’s framework (Persona, Problem, Parameters), consider why chatbots matter in schools and how they align with the school’s values, and build/test functional chatbots. By the end of the session, participants will leave with two working chatbots, deeper insight into the role of AI in education, and a shared vision for implementation across divisions. Enrollment is limited to HanĀI task force members.
