About This Course

In this course, we center haumāna in their educational journey, fostering agency, mastery, experiential learning, and moʻokūʻauhau through purposeful, personalized learning experiences. Kumu will be introduced to key strategies and practices such as differentiation, individualization, and personalization. By implementing advanced applications of Haumāna-Centered Learning, Kumu will empower haumāna to take ownership of their learning, reflect on their progress, and navigate challenges with resilience, ultimately contributing to a thriving lāhui. This course provides a pathway to deepen understanding and practice of haumāna-centered instruction at Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi. Prerequisites: Must complete Pathway 1 prior to taking this course. This ensures that all participants have a foundational understanding necessary to fully engage with and benefit from the advanced strategies and practices covered in this course.
