About This Course
This course is designed for learners who are able to participate in conversations with clarity and confidence, using paragraph-length discourse to narrate and describe events across past, present, and future contexts. Participants are generally understood by native speakers and can navigate conversations that include unexpected turns or complications. Over the eight-week session, instruction will focus on strengthening oral proficiency, expanding expressive range, and refining accuracy and fluency in spoken Hawaiian. While core materials and learning experiences are prepared in advance, the course is intentionally responsive to the strengths, needs, and skill levels of the learners who enroll.
